Lisa published her first book in September 2023, titled "80 years without Dementia. Diagnosis Doesn't Define Life". In this heartfelt account of her father's journey with dementia, Lisa opens our mind to the possibility of reframing a diagnosis (from an 'absolute' negative to a 'potential' positive) as she recounts the life lessons her dad's dementia has taught her - lessons about caring for others, courage, guilt, gratitude, living for today, regret, simple pleasures, and a few others. Lisa's hope is that you will be inspired by the insights she has gained and use them to support you in your own life, whether dementia is part of your family story or not.

At the time of the books launch Lisa's Dad, Bob, was still alive, though he was in the advanced stage of disease. Bob passed away just over two months later, a peaceful death at home surrounded by his loving family. Lisa was once again inspired to write about their family's experience - this time about palliation in the context of dementia, and in particular about choice at the end of life. The book is titled "The Gift of a Good Death. Our palliative dementia story" and launched in November 2024.
